ANGELS AMONG US!

 ANGELS AMONG US!

We are coming up on the one-year anniversary of the start of this BLOG.

There are a lot of people to whom, without their efforts, it simply wouldn't have made it past the dream stage.

Therefore, I will finish the year out, by spending each week paying tribute to them.

Each week a different person.

I am excited and hopeful for the future.

We have already created a Facebook group BEDHEAD BOB NEWS DAILY.

If you're not already a member, you are certainly invited to come along.

There I will try to post every day, as well as answer any questions you might have for me. And now I give to you the first installment of my tribute to these amazing people. And I truly appreciate your continued support. I love you all! Often write about my wife Jonell in my weekly BLOG.

From time to time, I will make mention of my daughter Lydia, of whom I could not be more proud. At the tender young age of 13, she has already demonstrated more maturity, than many of the adults I know. As I have said before, she is a great help to her Mom and me, in caring for yours truly.

Everyone jokes about her being the IT girl for my computer, but the truth is, she probably knows more about technology than her Mom and me combined.

Lydia could do almost anything she would choose to do, but she has already indicated an interest in following a path into the health sciences. Homeschooled all her life. Although she is a little shy, she is comfortable whether she is in a roomful of kids or adults.

So busted is the myth about homeschooled children missing out on socialization.

I don't want a bunch of teenagers teaching Lydia about the finer points of how to behave around people, or God forbid, sex education. Her sweet smile lifts my spirits, whenever I gaze upon her picture, which sits directly to my right, along with a custom-made calendar Jonell had made for me, which contains pictures holding memories of when she was a very little girl. If someone puts anything on the buffet where her picture rests that obscure's me of it,

I ask that it be moved right away. I freely admit to her Mom that Lydia adores her the most and that she would easily side with her over me in just about every matter. I don't mind though, I'm glad that Lydia has such an attachment to her Mom.

It brings me comfort to know there is such a bond, and that Lydia will always be there for Jonell because Jonell gets a lot of promises that aren't kept. Jonell and Lydia watch Jeopardy daily. Recently, one of the categories had to do with 80's music, Lydia actually "RAN " the category, meaning she got all the questions correct. The music was from some 30 years before she was born! I didn't even know all the answers, and I was a DJ for nearly 30 years. Lydia has for years, been responsible for the various types of animals on our property.

Chickens, ducks, goats, and pigs, have all found a home here, and known Lydia as their "MOM. " there has also been an assortment of cherished family pets. Dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, lizards, and very soon turtles, will have called our home, home.

If Lydia comes across a daddy long leg, she will pick it up in her hands, and find it a home outside. I know all parents usually like to brag about their children. Let me say that my little girl certainly is deserving of all the praise I heap upon her.

Everyone that meets her says the same thing. I just want her to know how much she brings joy to my life. She is an angel sent to me by God. Oh, I believe there are angels among us sent down to us from somewhere up above they come to you and me in our darkest hours to show us how to live, to teach us how to give guide us with the light of love the wear so many faces, show up in the strangest places Sent to us with a light of love           Written by Don Goodman and Becky Hobbs--

This is Lisa Wood. We worked together for a couple years. I was scrolling through Facebook while my husband was watching the ballgame and found your blog page. I was shocked to say the least. I would like to email you if that would be ok. Seems like we have a lot to catch up on.
