Combo Night

 


It is estimated that 346 souls, will be taken from us on Christmas season. 

While that may not seem like many,  that means that thousands of people will have their lives forever effected. 

With the weather also reeking havoc in record setting ways this week, even more lives may be effected. 

Please be careful, and don't travel if you don't absolutely need to. 

Have yourself a very Merry Christmas. Be safe, and keep your loved ones close.

Bob asked me if I would write something for the BLOG this evening. I asked what he wanted me to write. He replied, “I’m comfortable with whatever you would like to say.”

I read what Bob had sent me and decided to stay on the theme of Christmas.

I must admit, I don’t particularly like Christmas. That combined with my dislike of working with children must make me seem like a monster!

The truth is just like is with everything in life, times of the year, objects, songs, or even a certain saying, are not always associated with positive times or events in a person’s life.

For me, Christmas has always been defined by words like chaos, screaming, disappointment, and sadness. December 20, 2021 my grandmother passed away which only furthered my dislike for “the season.”

However, I have made a conscious effort over the past few years to take back Christmas and redefining it. The truth is I am very much an introvert. My husband, extrovert. But on Christmas, we have made a tradition of spending it together, alone. 

To some, it may seem lonely, but to us, it’s a time of peace, quiet, and enjoying one another.

This tradition along with an amazing group of friends ( yes this includes Bob) made me kind of like Christmas the last couple of years. I even played a little Christmas music, once my kryptonite, now just a rock in my shoe. 

Life is all about your mindset.

In the beginning

Imagine if you will it's almost bedtime, and you start to think about all the things you need to get done tomorrow. Of course, there's work, tomorrow I need to be there at one. And then, the car is due for an oil change, if I leave early for work, I should be able to get it done in time and you still have to get registered with some other companies for AEP (Insurance Term), it's just around the corner. I'll have time to do that during my lunch break. Then you told your son you'd swing by his place to take a look at his jeep, it's making a strange noise. You can leave even earlier for work, that hopefully won't take too long. Sound familiar? Although the list of things to be done will be different, it's what each of us goes through almost every night. Planning a day so full that we don't leave ourselves much wiggle room. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

  Now comes the time that we celebrate one year of the Bedheadbob BLOG.  Well actually, the one year anniversary won't be the one year anniversary, it isn't until this Saturday, April 8th, so you still have time to get me that red Corvette I've always wanted.  On a serious note though, it is a special moment for me, as I celebrate not only the accomplishment of what I consider to be one of the crowning accomplishments of my life, but also the bond I feel with each of you, although we've never met, at least most of us.  Which brings me to the topic of this week's BLOG...
