Reap what you sow
We all need to be accountable, for our actions. Telling an outright lie, especially when that lie will get another person in trouble, it is simply wrong on many levels.
I say this, because recently a very good friend, relayed a story about how she had helped a man, only to have that man, completely misrepresent their encounter to her boss, while making her look like she didn't know how to do her job correctly. Mind you, there was a witness, who could prove he wasn't telling the truth.
Naturally, my friend was very upset, she then had the chance to confront the man. She acted professional, a lot more than I could have been, and told him how she didn't appreciate his misrepresentation of their encounter.
Are you kidding me?! Misrepresentation? Short of punching the guy in the nose. I would have called the guy a lier, along with a few other choice words, but I guess my people skills preclude me from working around the public. Besides, telling someone off using a machine, sounds rather comical.
She confronted him with his lie. For that, I am extremely proud of her. Even if she was concerned that she spoke to him too harshly.
That's why she is the amazing person she is. Always concerned with how the other person is feeling. That's why I have the attitude of, you reap what you sow.
That, and I suppose I've grown to not care, the older I have gotten.
Face it, the guy was a bully. Thinking he was going to get his way, no matter who he had to step on to get it. The longer these kinds of people, get things their way, as a result of their behavior, the bolder they become. It takes deciding you're not going to be a victim, to put a stop to their ways.
She said that he stammered and hawed, never really offering an explanation, as to why he lied. It probably was as simple, as he wanted things his way.
The true sign of a coward, unable to admit their wrong, even when confronted with their sin.
