God Gave Me You

Now comes week three of my tribute series to the people who have helped me so much along my journey.  Last week I wrote about Celia. From the response I got, I'm thinking about starting a fan club.  I decided to spend the month of March dedicating posts, paying tribute to the people in my life, who have given the most of themselves over the past year. I started the first week, by highlighting my exceptional little girl Lydia.  This week I dare to reintroduce somebody that I mention to you almost weekly. That person is of course my wife Jonell. Not only does she continuously amaze me by doing more than any three people usually do. She does it while taking care of our household.  If you've never been a caretaker 24/7, you may say you understand her sacrifices, but the truth is, nothing you have done in your life prepares you for it.  Simply watching her makes me tired, and I get to sleep through the half dozen or so times she gets up in the middle of the night to ...

Cecelia

This is week three of my continued tribute to those special people who have helped to make my life full.  This woman does so much for a great many people.  It is fitting that this post appears on the very day that Celia opens her new venture, SpeakEasy Therapies and Fitness.  It is destined to do great things for a great many people.  If you haven't noticed, for the past several months I have been ending my BLOG with the lyrics of a song. Always reflecting the general sentiment, of the post I have written that week. Before, I haven't ever disclosed the song until the end of the post.  Except sometimes with the title when I've forgotten to remove it.  This week, however, I am doing things a little differently.  This week's song is Cecelia by Simon and Garfunkle.  I grew up listening to their music. I guess you could say I'm a fan.  If you're scratching your head and wondering who they are, it's Google time. And while Cecelia isn't really...

ANGELS AMONG US!

ANGELS AMONG US!  We are coming up on the one-year anniversary of the start of this BLOG.  There are a lot of people to whom, without their efforts, it simply wouldn't have made it past the dream stage.  Therefore, I will finish the year out, by spending each week paying tribute to them.  Each week a different person.  I am excited and hopeful for the future.  We have already created a Facebook group BEDHEAD BOB NEWS DAILY.  If you're not already a member, you are certainly invited to come along.  There I will try to post every day, as well as answer any questions you might have for me. And now I give to you the first installment of my tribute to these amazing people. And I truly appreciate your continued support. I love you all! Often write about my wife Jonell in my weekly BLOG.  From time to time, I will make mention of my daughter Lydia, of whom I could not be more proud. At the tender young age of 13, she has already demonstrated ...

Changes

I've been asked by more than one person, how I can have such a good attitude, given the seemingly bad hand I have been dealt.  I've thought about it a lot.  I've not really come up with a good answer.  There are times, when I will just look at something and think that I need to do this or that to it, then I realize that I can't do anything at all.  Other times I think myself lucky when I don't have to go out in below-zero weather, or into some torrential downpour.  And, there are times when I feel guilty, as I see Jonell and Lydia overwhelmed with all they have to do on my behalf, and I feel guilty. Mostly because I know about the sacrifices that she and Lydia make on my behalf.  They tell me that they wouldn't have it any other way, but that doesn't make me feel any less guilty. I really don't have much to complain about. There are people who suffer from Locked-in Syndrome, who have it much worse than me. All I have to do is think about them, and I real...
